Can a CNC plasma table cut aluminum?

What's the difference between CNC plasma and CNC laser cutting?

CNC plasma uses a superheated ionized gas arc to cut through electrically conductive metals. CNC laser uses a focused light beam (CO2 or fiber). Plasma is more affordable, handles thicker material, and is better for structural steel fabrication. Laser produces finer detail, smoother edges, and can cut non-metals like wood and acrylic. For most metal fabrication shops, plasma offers the best value — laser becomes worth the premium when you need extremely tight tolerances or thin material precision.
